From either side; petitioner or respondent?
Don't like the sounds of this one....
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
I guess that's a "no".
Yes, my lawyer took care of it.
I never have shot a partition(nosler) through a suit.
Are you breaking up property or is someone trying to break yours up?
Per my divorce agreement, I refinanced my house and let my ex stay there and pay very low rent in lieu of child support. I left her name on the title as reassurance to her that she would get her share of equity once I sold it. Now, 15 months later, she's paid rent 1 month and is now claiming that she owes me nothing. And instead is saying that I owe her an additional $146 per month on top of the full mortgage payment, meaning that I am 18 months in arrears to her. She's wrong about that, and my lawyer and 2 different caseworkers with Child Support Enforcement have sided with me. However, she's being very difficult and a partition suit may be the only way to get her out of the house.
She is using ex wife logic.
1. Don't ever consider doing anything nice that would be mutually beneficial. You will regret it.
2. Learn to use reverse psychology.
3. Make sure your lawyer is working in your best interest.
4. Only communicate through text messages.
5. Document everything.
Yeah, I got burned by trying to bend over backwards to be nice. I wish I had just bought out her equity when I refinanced; none of this would be happening now.
Back in the summer I told her I would only text or e-mail because she totally made up chit that I never said. It annoys her to this day, but I am very insistent on it.
When I got Divorce my Ex said she wanted our House taken care of by such and such date. I gave it away Hey taken care of.
She gave away 200 Traps and a New Freezer. I paid 6 months ahead on my Pickup, the Bank told her I was behind on Payments. She gets ahold of me says if she has to make a Payment she wants the Pickup.
Said fine come and get it. Where is it? Salida, Colorado. She paid a Guy $10 an hour to come get it. It had been rolled, Transmission was out and it needed Tires. Guy asked why I didn't tell her this was all wrong with it? She didn't ask.
The Big Grin is in a warm house.
Was she hot?
The ex? She used to be pretty. Then she totally let herself go. When we divorced she was about 320 lb. She's easily gained 20 lb. since then.
that's a biggun
She's more than double the weight of my new wife. New wife is hot.
Hence most of the problems you are having with the ex.
Issue should be resolvable by enforcement of original decree. If it is not I would use a different attorney for this matter.
This is not legal advice.
But it’s common sense advice, which to normal people is all that’s needed. Unfortunately.......
Probably don't need to worry about your lawyer sleeping with her and selling you out. Unless he's a chubby chaser.
