Curious if anyone uses this in their food plots ? And how were the results?

I think most of MO is a bit too far north for them to do well.

I contemplated growing some. Expense along with the learning curve involved kept me from it. There's several options that will feed not only Turkeys but also deer and other wildlife that's a lot easier to grow and cheaper imo.

We planted it years ago on our place in Louisiana. Only thing liked it better than the turkeys was the raccoons.....and we all know what raccoons do to turkeys!

My Pawpaw would always let me and my brother break new ground for food plots and then take them over the next year for truck farming different vegetables. He was pretty sly about that. Taking over the chufa ground backfired on him. He fought volunteer chufa grass all year the next year and forbade us to ever plant it on his place again.

I would also add that it tasted pretty dang good.kinda like coconut. I would grab a handful every now and then.
