I had two covies of quail last year on my 68 acers. One that had maybe 8 birds and one with 15. I know in Feb. the one with 15 was still in good shape. This summer I have seen on bob with about 15 little ones, a pair with about 8 little ones and maybe another pair with 5-6 little ones. Hoping to have 2 nice covies this year or maybe even 3! I have sprayed a lot of sericia and burned a big portion. Planted milo, wheat, clover and sunflowers. I also have an abundance of little bluestem and blackberries. Hoping to have 4 covies maybe someday. Enough to shoot a few out of them at least. Sure is fun seeing them on a regular basis.
