I had a reservation at MTC today.

TJmustng was with me. Lefty said he was gonna go but didn't show up, and didn't even call to say he wasn't comin.

I got lucky and pulled #1.

TJ and I shot 3 birds, one mallard and 2 green wing.

Them birds might have been expensive... my phone decided to take a bath and isnt wanting to cooperate. I have it opened up with a fan blowing it right now, hopefully that helps. Of course, my truck starts acting up to, so now I am worried about breaking down without my phone not working.:mad2: Oh, and when I fell through the ice the one time(happened many times with dekes on back) I pulled a muscle in my shoulder already cant lift my arm to change the stations on my radio.
despite that, had a good time, seen lots of birds, too bad we couldnt get many to come in range. obviously wasnt the calling

May sound funny but.... Ive dropped my phones in the water a few time and i always take the battery and sim out, then leave the back cover off and put it in a bag a rice for about two days... The rice obviusly draws the moisture out of the phone... Works just like before

I have the battery and sim card out with the fan blowing on it. I tried it a minute ago and it was working fine it seemed. So now I am just letting it dry a little more to be safe. I sure hope my truck is fine though, it is still uner warranty, but what a pain.:spam:

called hunting, dont know if I have ever heard of any spot ALWAYS producing limits. We watched birds lift off and move to different parts of the refuge most of the day. Maybe partially due to our lack of experience as duck hunters, but I still dont think there is a "sure" thing.

I am sure you have felt way worst for a while than I felt this afternoon. Feeling alot better now. Just same old same old getting up at 3 and busting ice pains, with some left over sore:spam:muscle. I am putting the 870 through its paces finally. I used to treat that gun like a safe queen, this year it has been a depth gauge, a paddle, has busted ice, birds, and tossed around the truck and boat with out the case. Finally treating it like the hoss 870 it is.:hysterical:

I think we did a good job at trying everything, not calling, different calling, lots of calling, moving the dekes. In the end, MAYBE this and Maybe that woiuld have helped, but dang we fought the ice,and I think we won. Had fun seen lots of birds moving in the refuge, hard to compete with that. Not liek they flew at us and spooked when we called. They just didnt fly at us much.:cheers:
