guess i am gonna buy me some doe tags as bad as i hate to.with the corn coming out.i am beginning to see what my herd is like and i am not like liking what i am seeing at all.the last couple of nights i have been on the back side where the corn is out,the usual doe group balance that i always liked was six and since the logging and crappy hunting conditions for last three years they have been growing, plus throw in the fact these kids now days for some unknown reason have quit shooting them.even during doe season:stickfight:i don't see any other way.i was hoping it the doe groups were gonna jump to 8 this year but they have exceeded that number and jumped to ten and two have went to twelve.last night it was getting to the point where it looked like picking up a burlap bag in a barn and mice went every where.then i got busted:D so i am gonna throw a guess of 90 does and young on this place of roughly 400 acres and 240 is tillable and thats way to many.come spring i won't be able to keep my antler grow minerals on the ground because of the all of the lactating does sucking it up:whistle:so come saturday morning i have excepted a new way of thinking.IF IT IS BROWN IT IS DOWN mentality :whistle:at least for this season:hysterical:smoke is gonna be rolling :peepwall:

on my honey hole farm the later in the year the more antlerless I see. They flock to the 18 acre thicket that I dont venture into. I was seeing 23 antlerless every night come out of that thicket as soon as the guns started booming.

well there isn't gonnna be any safe zones this season 7.during all the rifle seasons i havn't heard but maybe ten shots in our whole section with two does being taken on adjoining properties.if you drive around the section it is about 13 mile circle.here about five years ago the landowners daughter started hunting with here two boys and her boss.her boss was pretty good at shooting does.but it seems like she has used her control of letting him hunt there to stop that.during those five years she has not killed a deer and her boys have killed three.now the landowners son was always my main doe killer and and has a doe killing daughter unlike mine:D and he kept things pretty well in check.but since he is a walker and five other people hunting ,he has been cut out basically.so me and the landowner has been doing some talking and come up with a number of trying to take 40 off of it.i called the daughter, mad isn't the word, hope shows:eek:her son is thrilled:D the daughters boss is gonna go buy a smokepole:)i have called the duckers lease and have them on stand by on the west fence line:Dlb i want to get it done quick and this way i am hoping there be less bucks taken with the range thing:hysterical:
