Any data on Allegheny Chinquapin Jeff?

I have a hundred of them that I planted 5 years ago that should start production this year based on what I read.

My land is covered in chinquapins. When would be a good time to pick up the acorns for seed?
Fall when they drop is the time, it sounds like you're talking about the chinkapin (chinquapins) oak??? Those oak acorns germinate soon after falling and sometimes even while still on the tree. They're different than the castanea chestnuts/chinquapins.

I've got 40 pecans in the fridge in vermiculite, looking forward to see how they turn out.
Nice . Have you grown pecan in pots before ? I'm curious how they will do .
Last year I started come ozark chinquapin for a member in my green house . They came up strong but then all took a turn for the worst mid summer .
I think spring planting they would have been better off .
Same with some buckeye seed came up good in pots then nosedive
