Anyone have any experience fishing Grenada lake in MS? I’m getting itchy wanting to get the boat out and go fishing. Any help appreciated.
Look into Lake Washington it is really good. Grenada Lake I haven’t fished it but I hear it’s badass. All the guides will tell you around March is best time for the spring time fishing but the best time all year to fish for crappie is actually November down here believe it or not.

Back to Lake Washington. We are going in March. They have some nice cabin rentals an Air BNBs to stay at around the lake and it’s an old ox bow of the Ms river and is a trophy crappie lake and have to be big to keep. We have went before and had a blast and caught some big slabs. That is normal sized folding tables, some hogs on there

If you want to get the boat out and wack on some crappie, you don't have to drive all the way to Mississippi to do that. We caught four limits in two hours yesterday. Had fresh crappie for lunch today! I'd skip hauling the boat and just drive down in a gas sipper and pay a guide to put me on the meat if I were going to Mississippi.
They will do it in style too with a party barge and ice chest with all your favorite beverages

Unless something has changed you are not allowed to drink on the big 3. It’s my understanding they are a little more lax in the summer time. We’ve been checking a few times and they always dig around the boat and coolers looking.
Idk they was never checked but also they don’t flaunt it either. It’s illegal to drink on all public waters in LA and MS far as I know, but everybody does it long as they have a responsible person driving boat. Unfortunately some knuckleheads down here drink all day at bars on the water and then go drive speed boats all over an hurt people when they have poker runs which is foolish
