Gotta steal on some decoys.....

Was in Cabela's yesterday looking for something, and as is always the case, made my way through the decoys. Spotted these Higdon Battleship Mallards for $69. They only had 2 boxes unfortunately, but they both went home with me. Apparently the Hazelwood Cabela's is not going to carry them anymore in store, so they were clearing them out.

Heck ya
Those are great looking decoys but the biggest drawback is they are HEAVY if you have to haul them a long distance.

My thoughts exactly - great buy and great decoys if you hunt a spot where you can place them out for the entire season or boat to the blind.

Carrying them on your back to hunt a pothole or MDC managed area - not so much!

Might I suggest leaving them in the box a few more years and when you boys are big strapping teens they can pack them in for Dad! :scared:

These will probably be going in the boat. I have some decent light weight decoys I use for humping in with the sled.

The boys are growing like crazy. As much as I can’t wait for them to help hump stuff in, I want the time to slow down.
