Sorry to disappoint you @Mailman this is in the bass fishing section. :D
A group of us went down to Beaver lake last weekend and got into some decent stripers.
Now that I know how to do it I'm ready to go back for more!! Sweet lake too.

Were you hunting in Arkansas with Bill Clinton - that cigar looks familiar!

Dexter and that isn't a cigar, it's a heavy metal empty:rofl:

That looks suspiciously like a beaver fever boat. Glad your trip went better than mine.

Looks like a blast, I have looked at booking a guide and going down there, heard they fight like a salt water fish.
Very cool and a bonus smally to boot.

Where you fishing shad deep?

Pretty much so! They said perch work good too. They had pumpkinseed, bluegill and goggleye in the bait tank but I don't think we caught any on the couple we had out.
Now I've got to build a shad tank because if you know where the stripers are it's painfully easy to catch them.

Ya, that was my experience on Norfork. Ya hafta have a “salt” tank and catch the right bait to really hammer them like that. My boat dont have room for that. :D

I'm thinking I'll hit my shad spot here locally and haul them down there. The fish are at the dam so as long as I come back around Labor Day in the future my hopes are high.

Haven't looked too much into it yet but I know you need round corners and a filter to get their scales so they don't choke on them.
