Finally got out to shoot the KP1 today. Shooting about 1.75" groups w/90 gr (vol) T7, Harvester crush rib sabots and 300 gr XTP mags, and win 209 primers. When I finished sighting in with that load I shot 2 power belt 348 gr hp with the same load. POI was nearly exactly the same and they were less than a 1/2" center to center. Didn't spend the time tinkering with the vol powder to see if I could tighten up the group any as I was pressed for time, but for now I'm sure this load will get me through ML season. :2thumbsup:

Recoil was hardly noticable. By far the nicest ML to step behind that I've ever owned. Gives me confidence that the 45-70 barrel I bought will be pretty managable too. Once again thanks for the deal.

Sorry about the lack of pics Yankee, I didn't take the camera with me. There were so many holes and marks on the target when I got done sighting in that it was not too impressive to look at anyway. If I would make scope adjustments in smaller increments it would take a lot less shootin' to get it where I want it. This is my method: move it left, back right #@@&*, now back left $%*&@, alittle to the right again. :rof2: But in the end it all worked out. :D

your the type of guy that i run into on the range and i tell em, wait i'll adjust it for you, or i do the math and tell em how many clicks:rof2::rof2::rof2::rof2: have done it more than once, ask trackercasey, gets em on there way and i got the range to myself:D:D:D

I must not be able to afford the scopes that actually move 1/4" per click cuz none of mine are that precise. Besides math wasn't never my good subject, I was a english wiz though!

I don't recall ever owning a scope that actually moved in 1/4" clicks. Some have been pretty close though. Most are nearer to 1/3" per click.

nastyjack, where are you getting your supplies? UC recommended that same powder, sabots, and bullets to me but I'll be darned if I can't locate them anywhere.

Are you talking about the T7, Harvester crush rib sabots and 300 gr XTP mags, and win 209 primers?

If so....I found all of mine at Cabelas in Kansas City Kansas....one stop shop and I was good to go. (I already had the primers since I reload)

Yep MM, that's what I'm talking about. BP has nothing, even in Springfield. Wish I had a Cabela's closer.

https://www.grafs.com/product/259633 I would order at least two packs to match the below bullets

these ought to work https://www.grafs.com/product/260712 or these - https://www.grafs.com/product/271650 - not as heavy but should be fine

You could get primers there also but there would be a hazmat fee. If you go that route, you might as well order some powder at the same time. Probably have it all by Friday and not have to drive.

https://www.grafs.com/product/256646 those should work just fine

along with either https://www.grafs.com/product/254275

or https://www.grafs.com/product/259774

If you go the route of having to pay a hazmat, I would load up with some of each.
