Good news is I got to try out my new spreader the other day . King cutter brand it has a pin up position for a drag harrow behind . Bad news is the rain I was counting on was pulled from the forecast .

Just seeded 2 logging roads yesterday with wheat & ladino. Only to be ripped out of the rain also. Feel your pain.

I got most all my seeding done Tuesday before all the rain we got. Don't know if that's a good thing or not if all the rain is out of the extended forecast. Almost rather have no germination and no rain than germination and not after rain. Got some wheat to broadcast here shortly in a week or 2.

Been there done that
I've planted over 4 acres of turnips/rape/radishes with no rain in sight. Gotta plant when ya got time & cross your fingers that the rains will come. So long as the seeds covered to keep birds from getting to it, it'll be sitting there when the rains do come.

This is what I'm hoping for .
I'm thinking this area I worked up I will frost seed this winter with clover . Hoped to prepare the area for orchard next year .

What is covered? Same boat. Forecast was calling for rain all weekend. Even thr nite said there was gonna be rain fri morning.

So broadcast Into 6"+ of pretty dense clover. Is that covered?
I would think in dense clover like you described it will be fine .
Pin was describing covered with a little soil .
I broadcast and drug a harrow over top so birds are definitely eating some .

I'm getting one heck of a rain on my plots now. Hopefully you get this rain thats coming through today. Looks like a good one if it hits ya.
