Buddy and I went bird hunting all day on his farm in NEMO. We had a good day of birds. We got into 3 covey's and managed to get 9 birds all together. Also, an added bonus on 3 rooster pheasants. We weren't able to connect on any of them.

You got 3 pheasants up in NEMO? I've lived in NEMO all my life and have only seen 1 wild one. Do you guys hunt on a farm that has released birds on them? Or are they all wild?

They are all wild birds no released birds. There has been a good population for several years now. They really manage the warm season grasses to provide excellent cover.

Sounds like a good hunt....you can get into a few pheasant up that way. we've hunted them in knox county.

I'm going out in the morning. It's to a preserve over pin raised birds but it's birds and my dog will enjoy it!

Can't wait to start training our Vizsla so I can start quail hunting again. She's 10 weeks old and comes from an awesome bloodline of hunting dogs. I'm starting her on raised quail in a few weeks.

Great looking pup. I've always thought Vizsla's were good looking dogs. Good time of year to have a pup and start the training. She'll be old enough by the start of next season. Have fun.
