I always try to do at least one rabbit hunt on my place in January, once deer season is over. Does a couple of things, puts a couple rabbits in the pot, and I can sort of inspect areas of my property that I don't go into during deer season..... I was always told, no rabbit hunting until after the first frost.... January, or early February works for me. :D

Love a nice fried rabbit, milk gravy and mashed potatos dinner.

You are cordially invited, a Savage 24 was my first "real" gun. Someone stole it out of the back of our Jeep in the early 1980's..... What setup is yours?

20/22mag... 24D I believe. My uncle had one when I was growing up and Chairman had one for sale about 12 years ago so I bought it for nostalgia sake.

If I ever run across the right one, at the right price, I'll scoop it up in a heartbeat. Mine was a 20ga/22LR. Case hardened receiver, don't remember the prezact model.
