Got in the stand early, first deer I seen was a doe at 8:30. Then at 8:45 this guy came walking in from behind me, I didn't even have time for my heart to start beating fast or the shakes to set in. I've been bow hunting 7 days straight, passed numerous dinks, the mature ones just never cooperated with me. Go out this morning and this guys comes in at 25 yards! Go figure, this time I had the smoke pole in hand. Didn't really feel fair but I'm very thankful for this beautiful buck!

Great buck. Military bases offer some great hunting opportunities.

I hunted Wednesday through Friday on the Post. Just saw a couple of small ones. I think Thursday there were only a half dozen hunters checked in so you and I were among the few. Congratulations on a fine buck.
