Right after the benelli black eagle came out me and a plumber buddy were hunting N. E. Arkansas.
He dropped his gun while we were hunting the " green timber"
He retrieved the benelli and what didn't get wet the first time he fell and dropped the gun, got wet when he went under after the gun!!!
He cleaned the gun and himself back at the Super8 in Jonesboro.
When we went out the door with the gun( he thought we were going out in the country to shoot his gun) I grabbed it, threw 3 shells I had in my pocket in it and proceeded to put 3 hot duck loads in a dumpster right outside the door!
He thought I was crazy! The Joneboro cops that showed up a few minutes later just wrote it off to out of state duck hunters.
We did kill our ducks, though.
Went for 4 days right around Thanksgiving 2 years in a row and killed our limits every day!

I think he would have had better luck holding the gun against his body under the coat to warm the action up.
Somehow beating the gun against a tree doesn't seem logical, funny, but not logical.

I can see it happening, certainly lots of stuff happens out ducking, sure wish north zone didn't start on Youth season :banging:

Yep many many limits. Already done and heading home. Great season so far
