I would say they will be freshening them for sure, not at the pace like mid October on, but yes.

I found a really fresh one yesterday. The licking tree was still green poop there and prints tell me it isn't totally man made.Ive yet to see a scrape. I usually dont start seeing many till mid october and on.

Sort of confused....the licking tree has poop on it? What's this man made comment? Had you or someone else tried making a scrape there?I found a really fresh one yesterday. The licking tree was still green poop there and prints tell me it isn't totally man made.
LOL! No, the licking tree is fresh and not quite dead yet. But it's been broken over a little bit. There is poop around the scrape which tells me that a deer has actually been here instead of a human being trying to simulate a scrape in order to draw in deer.Hey Jim you sitting in the x stand you got from me? Well good luck and stick a biggun !!!

I definitely do. I'll take a picture of it for you the next time I'm out there, basically there is a scrape with a small sapling that something has clearly been biting on. LOL. And possibly rubbing and scraping onto. The leaves where a few of the branches are broken over or just starting to yellow. But this is definitely over a scrape. I just wasn't being very articulate.Might be a dumb question but do you know the difference between a rub and a scrape....??? Just asking.
I've never found a licking tree that is dead. All have been alive and hanging over the scrape on the ground.
It's in timber. There's a cam on it as of a couple days ago.Is the scrape along a field edge or back in timber?? Any chance you can get a trailcam on it while your snapping a pic for MM??? Or forgo the pic for MM and put a trail cam up?![]()
