I've always been so wrapped up in bow hunting through October that I've never really Turkey hunted the fall. And it was the same way today. A buddy of mine needed a hand around his place, clearing some limbs and hanging a new stand and we grabbed a shotgun; just in case! Well, it panned out. After we got his stand set over his beans, we drove around a bit in his side by side. We spotted some birds on a top and he kinda drove me somewhat close. I kept a fat cedar between us and made a stalk in my blue jeans and green hoodie. I kept thinking there was no way it would come together, but sure enough it did! Obviously a younger bird, but it'll go to good use on this camping trip I'm fixing to head out on and was a cool fall experience!
