So we recently moved this year and aquired s little land with it. I've had several does and young bucks. This guy showed up about 2 weeks ago. (ignore date on cam). What she do you think he is? I'm thinking 2-3 years old. I like his antlers but feel he may be a little young to take this fall.

you may be right, he may be young, but now is a very difficult time to accurately guess

Don't get caught up with all the age and score talk. If he makes your heart beat fast and looks good to you when he shows up while you're in your stand, then shoot him.

And judging the age of a buck from one summer picture is a very rough guess at best. Pics are misleading in summer.

Possibly a 3 year old. Remember....velvet makes a 110 inch buck look like a 140. Very deceiving.

Summer bucks are hard to age. It will be easier to tell when he puts the feed bag on later in the year. 02
