A little bird told me that fireman and crew all did very well turkey hunting in Iowa.... :dancin:
We expect any less? I think not!
HONEY.....I'M HOME!!!!!!!!! I'll give ya a quick countdown, with pics to follow tomorrow, soon as I can git em!!! Opening morning yielded a 24, and a 23 pounder, one with 1 5/8" spurs, and the other had a double beard!!! I killed my 23.4#er, 10" beard, 1 1/8" spurs, at sunset last nite, after a 3 hour set under the roost trees, had him at 10 yds, killed him on his way out at 17, with the smoke pole!!!....if you've never hunted birds past 1 oclock, believe me, you DON'T want to!!!! The fourth bird was at 5 till 10 this morning, after bro in law Terry and I walked about a mile from the truck...VERY awesome hunt...I'll give ya the total rundown tomorrow with pics!!!
