I tried to make sure this question wasn’t posted before. I’ve used my archery any deer permit earlier this season but have not used my firearms any deer permit. I cannot shoot an antlered deer unless it’s during alternative methods season correct? I know I could use a bow during alternative methods season and tag an antlered deer with my firearms any deer permit. I just want to make sure I have to wait until alternative methods season to shoot another antlered deer. Thanks.

Yes, if you no longer have an archery any deer permit then the only valid permit for an antlered deer you have is a firearms any deer permit - assuming you have not already tagged 2 bucks on archery permits. Firearms permits may only be used during firearms seasons and the only remaining firearms season that allows antlered deer harvest is the alternative methods portion. Archery methods are allowed during the alternative methods season. Don't forget to wear orange.
