Firearms auction Saturday, 8-17

Probably make this one vic, nice guns in there

They have a lot of .22's and a few I would love to own. Plus a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44mag 7.5".

But sadly I was born with a plastic spork in my mouth.

Wish I could go, there are a few guns I'm interested in but a prior engagement precludes it. I have been to a couple of J.D.s auctions and they are well organized this looks like it will be a good one !

He does put on a good auction and usually there's something there of interest....and it's a social event in that there's always lots of folks I know there. This one ought to take a while at 430 firearms. At one every 2 minutes....you do the math!

There's 3, maybe 4 I'd like to take a closer look at and will probably go out there Friday eve. for the preview.

There are a few on that list I would like to see and wouldn't mind having a chance to bid on.

There's some really good stuff there, a Smith M18, a Dan Wesson .22, an old High Standard Sharpshooter, all of those are pretty nice pieces. There's also some stuff that doesn't float any boat I've ever been on, but on the whole, someone had some nice stuff accumulated.

Whoever he was he must of likes guns. He just didn't collect one thing did he!!! Lol

just wondering, how long do you think this sell will take? starts at 10am....

This morning I happened to have breakfast with a couple guys who are a lot more privy to the sale than me. All I know is what's on the flyer. I asked if that was one man's collection. They kinda laughed and said yes, about half of it. They said the good stuff wasn't on the list. At the rate of one firearm every two minutes it will take 14 1/2 hours. At one per minute, half that so I'd guess a minimum of 5:30-6:00 PM. JD moves pretty quick but man, that is a lot of guns.

I would like a model 42 in nice shape, but still a shooter and a Philly fox to replace one I sold.

Wish it was closer...there are a couple of Ithacas on there I'd spend some money to have.

That's 3 of the 4 that I picked out too. My 4th was an Anschutz.

wiser, from what they told me yesterday morning, the good stuff isn't getting listed as it's been disposed of already. I'd sure like to have seen a list!

I want a 32-20 rifle to replace the one I gave my son and there's 3 contenders on the list. I'm also curious about the Emil Kerner, 98 sporter.

Any guesses what an 1873 will go for? My nrother has my grandpas 44-40. Wouldn't mind picking up one myself sometime.

How do I see a printed list? All I can pull from the original link is the photos but those are without descriptions so I can't tell one from another on a few of them.
