Had a good night last night. Decided to set up my scarface decoy as a doe and put out some golden estrus as there were two nice bucks in this field the morning before but as there is no food sources in this field I had to have some reason for them to come back and show themselves in the field. I was in a ground blind very comfortable playing yahtzee and about 445 I started putting all my stuff away so as soon as legal shooting light was over I could get out as I needed to get home to let the dog out. I was looking down putting stuff in my bag and looked up and "oh ****" the deer came out of nowhere. He was looking at the decoy trying to figure out what it was. He was out about 100yds, and all I had was a profie view so I coudn't tell if he was a shooter, then he kind of got spooked and turned towards me to go back to the woods and that told me he was a shooter. He took about 15 casual steps back towards the woods, then looked back over his soulder at the decoy. Her nice doe tail was just too irresistable for this randy buck. He turned back around and walked within aobut 20yds from the doe and I smoked him. He wen't about 30yds and piled up. No where near my biggest deer ever but my first MO buck!
