Well I put out a few traps over the weekend , I did not put out very many yet , anyway I have not done to bad for 2 days set and only put out 8 traps out 150 traps that I have . Well it starts as always first night 4 opossums and a **** . I let every opossom go they were very small and there pelts might bring a quater , oh well so far I have caught 8 opossoms , and 4 ***** , 2 of them tonight were real nice one I wish I would not have skined and got it mounted , very nice **** all silver once I skined it it measured 40" long XXXL. Well here is a pic of 2 good size *****

Just curious Michael as to why you would release the possums?They need thinned out just like every other varmint.They are one of the main predators or turkey and quail nest,not too smart so they end up in your traps again.Right now ,almost all the furbearers are getting too thick and when mother nature steps in it isn't going to be pretty.Better to dispatch the possums and use them in a call station inwhich you can catch alot of the others.

Well I normally do take the opossums , but these have been so small , I hate to take an animal and not do anything with it , but my Father in law said the same thing to me so I guess I will .
