Anyone who has ever shot a hot doe during the rut and then stayed in their stand can probably attest to how long a buck can still smell a does trail . I have had them come in on a does trail 1/2 a day after she went thru or didn't make it thru. In the salt river bottoms in shelby county one year, I shot a doe from in front of a 6 point early opening morning,,and had 8 more differnt bucks come in between there and noon when I shot a decent 9 point. There noses are flat amazing,,and their lack of abitlity to not follow their noses when a hot doe is around is a blessing.:claphands:
That is a great series of pictures.:2thumbsup:
