My load books are very old and I can't buy a new one right now. I'm looking for loads with 85 and 100 grn bullets. Only powders I have are imr3450,imr 4064, imr 3031 and imr 432o. My rifle has a 22" bbl. Looking for fast and accurate. Thanks

Bear sorry it took me so long to reply,:

4064 36.0 GR. w/ 85 GR bullet MV 3053

4064 33.0 GR. w/100 GR bullet MV2676

These are not max loads, they are the most accurate loads and fastest MV based on the powders you mentioned.

*note: these results are based on...
A Sako Rifle
barrel length of 24"
1-10 twist
Remington Cases
Remington 91/2 primer.
Your results may be different but you can start with these loads and work around with them.

i burn the imr4064 in my .243 but i use a 55 grain bullet so won't waist your time with the load information. my savage likes the combo with the 4064 though.

My pet load for the 100 gr. ---------100gr Sierra Game King SBT (#1560) with Remington Peters Brass and Win. WLR primer with 35 grains of IMR 4320. It is on the slower end of the spectrum at 2723 fps but it is the most accurate in my Remington 700. BTW....don't get rid of the powder. As long as you've kept it clean and dry it will keep for years. My 2 cents.

BEAR.......Now what is this about not being able to buy a new reloading manual for your bench? Now has the wife chained you down to the concrete and spoon feeding you once a day?LOL

Hey, go to Steves Pages over at Hunt America, he has all kinds of loads for anybody needing help, especially a country boy who hunts those big bears.

I finally found what works in this rifle. factory Remington core loktor 42 grns of imr4350 with 100 grn Rem. core lockts and 44 grns with Speer 90 grn bullets. Really shoots good and 5 deer were killed dead in their tracks with that rifle this year.
Yep, heading out for bear again . Manitoba in May.

While cleaning out my reloading bench I found this target. It was shot on 4/9/05 with my Remington 700 .243 at my range using sandbags.

Bullet: Sierra Game King (#1560) 100 gr. SBT
Powder: 35 grs of IMR 4320
FPS: 2723
Yardage: 50
Shots: 5

This is a bit slow for this caliber but it keeps a good group and does its job on whitetail like it is susposed to do.
