Wanted to share this quick video of my son Mason landing a flathead with his hands. It's not a huge flathead but it was to him at 7. He didn't back down and got right in there. For us landing flatheads caught on the line with our hands is some what of a tradition. This kid loves the river and the outdoors. Makes a daddy and grandpa proud!

The life jackets are behind the person filming and worn when we are paddling the canoe and we are all sitting on a throwable personal flotation device. Thank you so much for your much needed concern of our safety.

HAHA no joke. We dont see blues much on that river and we net all channels or just lift them in the boat. We only hand land the flats.
