My nephew Eric P got his first turkey this morning. My oldest son (Jnh) and one of my other nephews (Jason) took Eric out. They were back at the house by 7 am .
I understand the bird came from behind them so close they could hear its feathers rubbing the fence when it cam thru. It walked beside the blind about 4 feet away, and they had to wait for it to get farther way before he could shoot.

    Eric with his bird.

Congradulations on your first bird Eric. It will be your most vivid memory when it comes to hunting. Its an acomplishment you can be proud of. I got my first bird last spring after trying for 11 years to get one and I am 38 years old so you are one huge step ahead. My neice Robyn says congrates as well and hopes she can get her chance to harvest a first bird as nice as the one you got.
