While bowhunting the farm this week we came across this beast that appears to have been shot by a poacher. We have this guy on film in full velvet this summer. We have known for sometime that there are some monsters on the farm and this just reinforces it. Meeting up soon with the CA to see what can be done if anything. At least his genes have been spread around for sometime. Possibly 20-23 scorable points, will know better after Fireman does his work. 160-170 as a guess. The mass is unreal.

Unless you found a bullet hole or arrow I'd say it's a Blue tongue/EHD victim.

    AWESOME FIND BY THE WAY!

If it was shot by a poacher I doubt very highly they wouldn't have left the rack laying there...IMO

A real shame he went out early. That would have been pretty exciting to have that walk under your tree.

According to the CO I spoke with there have been no reports in Saline County. While out Thursday we also found blood in 2 spots where I kicked up another buck. So there is another wounded animal out there . I know the farmer of the property that surrounds this farm and no other bowhunters in the area. Where we found this it would have been very difficult to find and get out and poachers are usually lazy people and wouldn't put the effort into getting it.
