WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS HE THINKING???
About as bad as keeping any other wild animal. They will turn on you!
He'll never do that again.
Once any animal loses it's fear of humans, they become very dangerous. Seen it first hand. Sad deal there.
It say he had it in a kennel. Surely they do not mean a dog kennel!!!!
Know a few guys that raise deer the does are super nice, kind of like a big dog.
Ron won't shoot a doe anymore, he likes them too much LOL!
The bucks are unpredictable. They don't go in the pins during the rut, period.
Im thinkin he wasnt thinkin.
I am thinking you are right!!!
Served him a good lesson, male animals are teritorial and should not be kept , i do not reccomend keeping a wild animal but if you do get a female.
Bad deal, shoulda knew better. My grandma always told me that when she was little they had a little pet buck and he was fine the first couple years of his life, but as he got older he got a little more aggressive, but never did hurt anyone. Then one day her grandma was trimming flowers back for winter and the buck ran at her and hit her in the rear end with his antlers. They had summer sausage that winter.
be a heck of a way to go

Good thing the story wasn't about a taxidermist losing a fight with a bobcat or something like that. :quackquack:op:
