Let's kick this off...
I've been incredibly busy at work and haven't been out but once. The stage has been set and 2 particular bucks I have been looking for have returned to their fall home ranges.
The weather/wind was telling me I should have been out last Wednesday. As I was pulling in the driveway from work my cell cam was buzzing in my pocket. Sure enough EastSideBoy was waltzing by my blind at 25 yards begging for an arrow. It confirmed to me that the trap that I had worked so hard to set over the last three years was working. I have this deer's match set of sheds from last year and three years of pictures.

This is him last year...
The other buck that I have been on the look out for from last year is Comeback Kid. i also have both of his sheds from last year and now FOUR years of pictures. He squared off with a 4 y/o buck that I call Rhino Wednesday night on the same plot and posed for a couple better pictures last night. He is not the day walker that ESB is but given the right weather in the next few weeks I think he could easily slip up.

You liking your Cuddelink? I like the network concept, wish cams worked better as a cam. **** chewed the antennas off my cell cam, haven't had pics in 3 weeks!

Patrick's picked up our slack. Now he will be free to crack the whip on the house builders until firearms season.

Disappointing sit. Only a mom n a mini and two dinks. CLs were lighting up though
Ive been on 4-5 other sits so far this fall, however this evening is what I would consider my first real "hunt". I decided to pull chips again out of a couple cams i checked just last week. Not optimistic i can upon an obvious target buck that is more than worthy of wearing my tag. Best of all I now have 3 years of tcam history and in a very huntable spot.
I knew it would be a stretch to get out this evening, though as i drank my coffee this morning beforehand work my cell cam pinged and there he was just a few minutes from daylight walking.
I slipped in almost clean but a doe was 30 yards from the tree. It has settled down nice and I know he is likely bedded close. About time to see if I can entice him to stand up.

I think he went Southwest
No blood
No deer sightings either. It only takes one.
True words. Good luck, it just takes one mistake of his or one lucky moment of yours.

Very cool to be able to identify individual animals and select targets. An expe
I have not done a good job of updating this post, though there is not much to say. Due to work and family obligations i have been out only about a dozen sita and all were uneventful with the excuof two. I laid off my farm with hopes of harvesting a particular deer when the calendar got right and come to find out he was axed during youth season up the road. Though there are several nice bucks on the farm they have failed to spur my interest and am now after a different deer on one of my leases.

My buddy from Michigan came down after youth season and took out “53” on his third sit. I was lucky enough to have shares the blind with him that evening (11/2). He passed this buck the last two seasons making it all the more sweet and his largest whitetail in 38 years of bowhunting.
Yesterdays hunt was pretty sweet as ingot out of work just in time to watch a nice 4 year old 8 that i passed last year parade around my tree. He put on several inches though he wasnt quite ripe for harvest.
I have the next three days to ride the whole and hopefully my giy will show.
