Guess I better spend some time with ole Betsy to get her right...
That's not fair!!! I didn't get drawn for it!!
That's not fair!!....I didn't even apply for it!!
Mike is it one of those set ups that you have to shoot a doe and turn it in before you can shoot a buck?
I have been getting drawn every three years for this hunt. First year was a no draw, and it has been every three years since. This will make my third time for it. And yes, you have to shoot and check a doe before you can take a buck. I love hunting it too. There are some really nice deer on it, and I only live 20 minutes from there.
This was the last buck I took from there...
He died 200 yards from the truck right by one of the small lake dams. Truck was on one side of the dam, he stopped on the other. I swear, he gained 10 pounds a foot by the time I dragged him that 200 yards.
My James A Reed doe from few years ago. Them deer are well fed. Scared the crackers out of the lady in her back yard when ol smokey roared.
Figures! This was my fourth year of trying with no joy. And I live ten minutes away on a bad day!
