What do you all think. Is this a large doe or a shed buck?
Hard to tell for sure but leaning toward Doe.........having said that though, there was a confirmed shed Buck killed this weekend in Gasc. County.........
Looks to me like an old very healthy doe but check out the other photos you have and check out the hocks on the back legs. Usually dark scent glands say its a buck and light color its a doe.
Thad be a buck.
This is in Gasc. county also.
Can you pull up those pics at the bottom of your original photo? Those might offer up more info as to it being a buck or doe.
I can when I pull the card the next time. I used a reader on my phone and only took screen shots of the certain ones. Seem like there was a lot of activity on all cameras Dec. 2nd.
Does that look like the spot the antler would have been?
100% looks like pedicles to me. Could just be a shed doe
Sometimes they will have tufts of hair that can fool ya sometimes. Sure is suspicious.
Shoot it and let us know.
Healthy old doe
I'd name her caitlyn
2-year old that has already shed his rack...
well just pulled one of my cards and I have a young buck already shedding his antlers.. Surprised to see it this early
Yes, and a matching pedicel on the other side
That's what I was thinking also but I wasn't sure. Seemed like a huge body for the doe in our area but also it was pretty early for the normal shed time. I will check the camera this weekend and see if there are anymore of it.
I have another one that is a shed buck from last week. I'm starting to see more of these on camera.
