Do you think this is a scrape?

I found one very active confirmed scrape in a piece of public I've been hunting. I've seen several buck on cam (at night) and many does checking it. This one (I think) is about 40 yards up the hill from the one. In a decent open area but only about 30 yards from the road. There are a few branches that have been rubbed on as well as a sapling. This one is quite a lot bigger than the one I've been getting pics over. Relocate the camera?

Same here?
It’s a crappy pic. No contrast. There’s just a spot where there’s nothing covering the ground. I couldn’t decide if it was or wasn’t. Went with my gut and left the can where it was. Looks like you boys agree. lol.

I say no.
Maybe try circling where you think a scrape is?

I see how I was too close to take a pic of what I was thinking it may have been. I'll just lay this to rest now. Lol. On the ground it did look like it could be one

If it's a scrape that has been used recently there would not even be a question. You would not only see the scrape marks from the deer's hooves, you would see a deer track close to the middle of it.
If all else fails, smell it.:D

I did move the cam the way you suggested and the quality of the photos is MUCH better at night. Thank you.
Im not seeing it ..too many leaves and sticks for it to be a scrape ....i watches a good 9 pt make one the other day .They will clean to dirt usually

Look for a licking branch above the scrape to help decide if it is or isn't when you are there. They may have chewed on the end of it which usually twists it a bit.

When in doubt....pizz on it.

But seriously most of the scrapes on my place are a minimum of 18 inches in diameter or larger. Not a stick or a leaf inside that circle plus an overhanging branch shoulder high (mine) clear up to 6 foot and above.

You do realize it is illegal to have Trail Cameras on Public Land?

Scraps usually run along a line if it be edge of a field or maybe along thicker brush and will have a licking branch.

:D The Big Grin just pee on it.

I like this guy!! Tell him trailblazer75!! Lol.

when you find a scrape you'll know it for sure. I'd be focused on acorns right now. Scrapes are cool but they're low percentage as far as hunting over them goes.
