I am starting to think the deer where I hunt at forgot that its their breeding season.
SEEN A DANDY tonite at 430 on the move cruising
Had a nice 8 point walk through my front yard today a 11 am-was reading forum and happened to look out window!
Saw a little 4-pointer with nose to the road this afternoon, and he didn't seem to care that we were about to slam into him with a Jeep. Saw a big 8 hot on the trail of a doe this evening on the south edge of the farm, just 125 yards from the house. He was a nice one. They seem to be cruising the chicks big time!
I think it's dependent on where you're hunting. It's been slow on the farm where we hunt the last couple of days. Haven't seen one buck trailing a doe yet?!? Seen several bucks out cruising, but none following a doe. I have high expectations for next week though. The weather is going to warm up some...
I've been seeing a bunch of does on my place and the bucks don't seem to be really cruising much yet. I have seen a few here and there but mostly the little guys.
Not seeing much here either.
Seen em moving at all times of the day round Calwood
Mabey you need to add a little something to their salt lick
I hear that's what yote does
seen one having a movement about an hour ago. it was gross
All the deer in my hunting area moved up to Town and Country.
Been a lot of hit & miss around here. Starting to be more hit in the last few days though. This week should be good.
Slow in my woods, 2 - 8's and that's it.
Spent the last three days in the woods. Nothing but scrub bucks. Lots four and six pointer out there. Couple of 6's that are big horned but not enough points on one side. Frustration three days. Vector grunt tube called in 2 of those little bucks. One little 5 pointer was standing off in the woods about 70 yards away and I grunted....he laid his ears back and took off in the other direction.
It's early yet guys...I think the big boys have found the first does that have come in and are hanging with them...the majority of the does aren't in yet. Traditionally Mo and KS are always a week behind WI and WI is rocking this week. This coming week should be the time to be out.
im not seeing it at my place yet here in barnhart mo
