Is this deer feeder listed HERE anything more than a barrel with a hole in it. I can't tell by the pic. If there is more to it than that how do you think it is made?

it may have a piece in the Bottom to direct the corn or feed out the hole, but thats all it looks like to me.

Sure looks like it to me. I have a barrel exactly like that that the dog food is stored in, not sure where to pick one up with the screw on lid, don't remember where the one I have came from.
The only thing other than a hole cut into it that I see is that the hold edges are protected by that metal piece, I imagine to keep ***** and the like from chewing more holes.

Go to a pool supply store and ask them if they have chemical barrels. The chemical comes in a plastic bag so the barrel is good. You can mount a powered feeder on the bottom and hang it.
