Will be voted on in November but Kansas is going to recommend 1 Spring bird and suspend fall season for the 3 eastern units. Will the commission pass staff recommendations, we will see.

Spring season could be extended to year round and bag limits of 10 legal birds and not hurt the flock or the hunter satisfaction year after year. He sas talked to put near every biologist in the country. He knows what they mean no matter what they say.

But, no, lowering the ks limit to 1 bird wont do anything to help turkey numbers. Its a completely ignorant idea.

Odd that when pheasant numbers were down they didnt propose cutting the number of rooster.....

What is MDC doing to address the problem? Nothing on their lands or anywhere else I see. Just letting it ride out and see what happens. If salt is so bad for cwd then why allow it throught the whole state? Most of their actions show they don't really know what they need to do in many situations. They are good at trapping and reintroducing animals but beyond that, I have seen little action that shows me otherwise. They care more about the non hunting population versus the hunting population now. Only 10% of people hunt so who is the majority of users of MDC land and facilities now?Excellent plan.
