I dont see where there getting 194 at
I want to know what he was shooting that mounts the buck upon impact.......
This one was 191 shot in Kansas in 2006. Looks pretty close to a 194. Them Drury boys kill some studs.
A better pic. Great deer.

I do believe that one was killed in NE Kansas correct? If so, I know his nephew and the nephew has a taxidermy business.
Yeah, his name is Sam Schuetz. His brother, Gary, lives up there. Man, Gary is on some monsters up there near the Hiawatha area. I used to hunt up there real close to his property and have seen several pushin' 200". I have learned a ton from that guy. I have never seen a guy just video tape 170+ deer and pass them so they can get to 200". He used to show us the videos and tell us "they will be real nice in a couple of years. :bowing:
Lots of long tines there....mass all the way out....that's a lotta antler if ya ask me.
Yeah, Jared has shot some monsters for sure. That full body mount he did of the one is insanely nice.
Okay, I had a brain fart...Does Jared do taxidermy or just outfit? I know they used to raise birds. Ask Jared sometime about catching 300 birds in an October monsoon. We all looked like wet rats. eepwall:
I think that's the same uncle that really wasn't gonna hunt that year either and smoked that big dude. :rof2:
I actually saw video of that buck before Sam shot him during gun season. He was out in a meadow with a doe. Got my blood pumpin'.
Jared is a real nice guy. We used to hunt some land he now leases for outfitting. The bucks are pretty amazing out there.
Just outfitting. Still think he has the Pheasant farm out there though. Haven't been out that way for a couple of years.
I need to drop by Gary's and say hello and say hey to Jared. If you have ever been to Gary's place, the mounts on the wall will just make you drool.
I've seen several of them at Jared's place when we picked up birds that one day. That was October 2007 if my feeble brain remember right.
Oh, free bump to the top for the original poster.
Yeah, I think Gary donated some mounts temporarily although Jared has shot some big ones. He learned from one of the best in my opinion.
