Well I went out to my honey hole in Jackson County last night for the end of Rifle season. It was a great evening. I got in the stand about 2:45pm. About 3:10pm a nice doe pops out about 175 yards straight south of my set. She kept looking back like something was following her but after 10 minutes of watching her feed and nothing else following her I decided to lay the smack down at 125 yards. She only held the 30'06 for a about 15 yards before tipping over.
As the evening progressed more and more does popped out and at last night with 10 does out in the field and fading light I decided it was time to smack another doe. I picked out the largest one and let her have it at 60 yards.
Great night to end the Mo Gun Season and this is also the last night I can hunt my Blue Springs Farm Honey Hole!! The owner is selling the farm and it is closing this afternoon. :whinging:
