Seems like they have had some limb issues on some models

Look at the Wicked Ridge crossbows. They are made by Ten Point. Great bows for the money. I have two of them. The Invader X4 I used for 3 years is a really good crossbow setup. Its very accurate around 360 fps. Generally you can pick one up for around $400. I also have the Fury 410 reverse limb. Few more features like de****ing and silent ****ing upgraded scope . It's a bit faster close to 400fps. It is around $1000

Check out 10pts website they always have closeouts. Another good source for CBs is Wyvern Creations. Check out their website

Anyone have experience with the Killer Instinct brand of bow? They have a lifetime warranty. $625 for a 400fps bow with a crank.
Have the swat xp and shot horrible groups with stock arrows. Was new to x bows and took forever to figure out why could not hold 4" groups at 20 yards. Bought spine match arrows and then spine matched stock arrows and now 2" groups at 60 yards.

I have a buddy who does warrant for killer instinct. Lots of limbs break. I’m a big fan of wicked ridge. Have a old warrior hl that still shoots flawless with new string and cable. Not as fast as my fury 410 that’s awesome and small.

As with rifles: the technology is mature. This means that you get a lot for a little and have to pay a LOT to get more. So just like you can buy a Mossberg Patriot or a Savage 110 in .308 with a scope for under $500 that will shoot better than you can, so also you can get a xbow with a scope, quiver, and 3 bolts from just about any manufacturer at that same price point. It will do great and last a long time and shoot better than you can. I have a Crosspoint whisper 380 that I bought in 2017. My son got his first solo deer with it this past fall. The scope that came with it did give up the ghost in 2021. Other than that, all I've done to it is wax the string.

Go to a forum called Crossbow Nation. Lots of really good info on crossbows. Most of the mfgs have a forum dedicated to them.
Like here, there are lots of other forums covering many topics.
There is no real consensus on the best mfg. There are guys that swear by any number of mfgs. I personally like Wicked Ridge because of the quality, accuracy, and really good customer service and good prices. Trust me, new crossbows are not trouble-free, so it's best to have a mfg that will respond to any issues you have. The WR is made by Ten Point their rep monitors the forum dedicated to them. He's a good guy and always tries to help.
Good luck, and there are lots of options out there.
Again when you get ready to buy check with Dave at Wyvern Creations extremely knowledgeable and best prices around.
