Other females will howl/call. Realize there's a smaller population and in turn produce larger litters.

Agreed and they do talk about that during the Podcast. Never at 1 time does he ever say not to shoot a Coyote when you see it.

this guy, Chamberlin lives in Mississippi, where they can shoot a deer a day for over 90 days. How would he know the effects of coyotes on deer, or the effect on deer of people shooting coyotes?

I could see if he lived in a location that did not have an enormous amount of deer and just about anything would effect the deer population, but Mississippi?

He has studied coyotes and deer extensively. Listen to the podcast and you will understand how he knows. Its extremely informative.
