Talking with a guy at work tonight and he began to tell me a story of when he was about 8-9 years old... Said he was set up in a ground blind and was really bored... He was hunting with a .270 and an air plane kept circling where he was hunting... He said it was about 2 telephone poles high..op:

Said he led it about 20 feet and fired a round at the airplane!!

Why would someone even do that??:mad2:

#1 he shouldn't have been left alone at that age
#2 kids do stupid things when left alone
#3 he was not taught proper gun handling
#4 I blame his parent because of all the above

Really,that could have been a very bad scene..hope he grew out of it...some don't.

That is what I was thinking. If it is true, his parents need to slap the %^$% out of him now before it is too late.

I doubt he was lying...... He a about as country/******* as they come... Said his dad was hunting not far from him and came to see what he shot at and to see if he got the deer...
Said his dad ripped him a new one when he told him...

His dad is now Sheriff one county over... :rof2:

My neighbor set the woods on fire one time and shot down the Forestry Plane.Plus he Gut shot 68 Deer.

you need to venture down here to rice country when the crop dusters are working next spring. We have one section of power lines where I have twice sat and watched a plane go under the lines.

And yes, kids do stupid things. I'm not going to even start telling some of the stuff I did when i was a kid.

I have seen the helicopters do it also.....
