Get a sheet a plywood and fit it to the back of your truck. You might have an easier time loading using it as an inclined plane/lift.

good idea and or the come along, I am throwing the come along in the truck before I head out todayI've used a ratchet strap in the past while loading one by myself. Get the head up on the tailgate and then swing the back end in.
