I dont see the big deal for archery at least. They shortened the season by one weekend and can make the either sex tags bull only?

Second and third seasons reduced to 7 days and moved to later dates. Later dates will put the 3rd and 4th rifle season in the deer rut.
Makes sense. I was only worried about archery. I wonder what purpose it serves to shorten archery by a weekend??
