I have about 3 to 4 inches of snow I heard you could throw the seed right on top. Is this true? If so I'm going after clover... Thanks Kevin
  2. Not to step on Henrys toes but YES.

If you've got snow on the ground right now I'd be throwing some clover out. The snow along with the thawing of the ground will take the clover seeds right into the ground for ya.

We always try and broadcast some from Feb.15-Mar.15. Snow always helps but we also try and hit it in the dark of the moon in Feb.

Dads ol Farmers tale ya know.:)

What he said. Frost seeding is done that way. If your overseeding you don't have to put it on quite as heavy as if you were trying to establish new. Don't forget to mow it if you can at least acouple of times thru the summer.
