Long time listener, first time caller. I've often wondered, what is the point of closing a thread just because a couple of people have chosen to argue in circles for hundreds of posts? I don't read those threads so when I see one is locked I usually click on it to read the last couple of posts, just in case something entertaining happened. It seems the rational is always "this is just a circular argument". Well duh, they always are. The thing is the circular argument will just flow over to another thread and pollute it. Why not leave the sewage in the same ditch, rather than flowing into another one? Just curious, I'm sure there are solid reasons. I'll take my answer off the air.
