what would be a good LITE weight climbing stand to buy?? I'm borrowing one from a buddy rite now and I really like it. I don't know what kind it is though and neither does he. It is a older one and still has the bars or blades that go around the tree instead of the cables. I don't wanna spend too much bc I don't use a climber much. I have a brand new gorilla climbing stand I need to sell, it's heavier than I want

If you can justify the initial expense, I would highly recommend a lone wolf hand climber. Super lite, easy to use and super quiet, not to mention rock solid. If you had one , you would use it more often. Awesome stand!!!

I like my API bowhunter but some don't like it because it doesn't have a rail around the front of it. It has done a great job for me over the years.

I really appreciate everyone's help on this. If any of you happen to see a good used stand for sale, let me know

I have the summitt classic and love it. Bought new then started watching on Craigslist and found some for really cheap.

I like my loggy bayou "Mega Transformer." Its like a summit viper but has a removable front rest. Also has really quick cable attachments. Comes with a decent harness too. :02:
