I didn't think those results were released until the 31st. Where did you find out that info already? Congratulations on getting drawn Caney is a pretty large area, big hills and hollers, lots of timber. There are also quite a few birds over there my in-laws place is less than a mile across country from the backside of the refuge. We have some video from over there we took a few years ago one afternoon during turkey season of about 8 big old gobblers strutting their stuff on the gravel road that circles through the refuge. We sit in the truck at about 50 yds. and watched them for 15 min. it's absolutely incredible footage.

P.S. Don't tell Pman there's bears over there though;)

So when you get drawn for a managed turkey hunt, is that like a managed deer hunt, where it doesn't count against your regular season limit? If that's the case, you are a REALLY LUCKY dog!

Crappie congrats! I've only Deer hunted it.But most Turkeys I seen were on the road off to the right if that makes sence.Followed it all the way back. You will need 4 Wheel Drive.

i used to hunt on the north side of the refuge, its rough and rugged in those hills. you will have plenty of birds to work, but the wiley ol toms deep in the hills of the ozarks are tough and very rewarding when you nail one. have fun
