I heard @catdaddy is entering the novice class.
They won't let him use Velveeta that leaves him only with his olive jig
....next thing they'll say is no water wingy's!
I bet Phil will let you wear your waders in the boat or while standing on his dock.
That olive jig did me well in the last tourney. Catdaddy recommended I try it so he basically gets all of the credit for my success.
ok then,that's mo like it!
....sign me n curly up fo "professional" division.....we would surely smoke that "professioinal" division!
Must be a big tournament to have 3 divisions.. Does it come with a participation trophy too?
It might. You should bring some guys down and sign up for the novice class. You might win something. Afterwards, we can go snag some James River fat girls!
This tournament isn't nearly as serious as the winter tournaments since it's a benefit. I believe the prizes are all dependent on the donations anyways. For $25, you get to compete against each other and you get a really good dinner afterwards, which would cost you $10-15 at a restaurant anyways so isn't costing you much to fish it. I think breaking it down in to three classes is a good thing since the goal is to draw in more people and raise money for a charity. Those of us who fish Taneycomo frequently get to try and take down Duane, Phil's dock manager who has won the past two years in a row, and those that are a much lower caliber of fishermen still have comparably competition to fish against. It's all in good fun and for a good cause.
Duane doesn't get to fish the winter tournaments so these benefits are the only chance we get to try and beat him. I'm sure I will fail, but I definitely look forward to trying.
no participation trophy....no catdaddy!
no gummy bears....no curly!.....im sorry.
Maybe Phil will have some floor groutin lined up keep you occupied till dinner in case the trout make a fool of you and you quit early. There's lots of candy shops around Branson for Curly to get her gummy bears.
