So I buried the skull of my turkey back on April 6 and I was wandering how far along it is or how long to wait till I dig it up. Anyone have any experience with buried skulls? Also the the legs and beard are dried up now, anyone know something cool to do with them besides the normal fan plague since my turkey is being caped.

Not sure how well a birds skull will work if it’s buried. With all this rain, not long I bet. But the thing to do soak them in water after you skin off as much as you can with a knife. Same thing with deer skulls. It’s called “cold water maceration” if you wanna google it. If you dig it up now and can find all of the pieces, just soak it all in water and strain out the bones when you’re done. Any questions just holler.
