What do ya think 120 gr Nosler ballistic tip retained 66 grns.

Is this good ? Is it bad? Whitetail doe?

I would say that's probably about normal since the BT's are designed to explode.

If you were talking an Accubond or Partition then I'd be a little concerned.

first off not all BT are designed to explode. as far as this bullet is concerned, if this was used say under 75 yrds on a deer or similar target then i am not surprised by the apparent fragmentaion. now if this was happening out past 100 yrds i would be concerned that it's design was too fragile for whitetail. i say a bit more field test before final judgement.

nosler has a new line of bts called e-tips that will hold together ive seen some bts out of higher energy rifles blow to pieces i still like the accubonds from 375hh down to 25-06 im anxious to try out the bt varmint bullets from nosler (lead free)
